Thank you for respecting the following policies regarding our services:

New Customers: We would prefer that all new customers make their reservations at least 7 days in advance, but we understand that this isn’t always possible. All new customers will have an in-home consultation, where we will spend some time getting acquainted with you, your home, and your pet. We’ll make sure that everyone is comfortable with each other, and you can tell us the specifics of their routine. If you agree to sign on with us, all parties will review and sign a standard service contract. At this time, we will collect two copies of your keys (one for immediate use and one backup for emergencies). We can either keep your keys in our secure system, *or return them to you for an additional fee *

Returning Customers: Should make reservations 3 days in advance, if possible. A service agreement will need to be completed for each series of visits. We will email the form, and you can review, sign, and leave along with payment. Please make us aware of any changes in your home or pets at this time. If you have elected not to leave a key with us, we will pick up a key before you leave for a $10 charge.

Holidays: We recommend that you make your reservations early. There is a $10 surcharge added to the normal sitting fees for the following holidays: Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter Sunday, and New Year’s  *day or eve?

Holiday Cancellations: Because we receive so many requests for service during the holidays and have had to turn away other clients for your time slots, please be aware that you will be charged half your service fees if you cancel with at least 7 days notice. If you cancel with less than 7 days notice you will be charged your full service fee.

Inclement Weather: You will trust us to use our best judgement in caring for your pets and home if we are servicing you during inclement weather. We will try to carry out your instructions to the best of our ability, but the safety of your home and pets are our first priority.  We will make every attempt to reach your home, and if we are unable to reach you we will get in touch with your emergency contact and proceed as necessary.

Medication: We will attempt to administer medications as directed but cannot be held responsible for complications that arise as a result. Excessively shy cats with medical problems can be a risk. If you have an animal that you think will pose a problem, please discuss this us with us. Under no circumstances will we service any pet that has any form of contagious illness. This is for the safety of our other customers, and our own animals. We require that all pets have the necessary vaccinations, immunizations, or titers* before service begins. If we are bitten or exposed to any disease or ailment contracted from your pets because they have not been properly vaccinated, you will be responsible for all costs and damages that may incur*

Payment: We accept the following forms of payment: Cash, checks (made out to Gwinnett Pet Watchers), and all major credit cards through PayPal. Payment is due on or before the start of service. Credit card payments made through PayPal will require an additional 2% charge. We will add a $25 returned check fee, plus any other bank fees for any returned check.

Early Returns: We understand that plans change and are very flexible. If you return home early, please notify us immediately we will credit your account for future trips. If, however, you do not notify us of an early return  and we make our visit, the regular charge will apply.

Access to your home by others: If you allow any other people access to your home during our contract period, we cannot be held liable for any damages to property or pets as a result. Please notify us if someone will be in your home, and please notify your visitor that we’ll be around so that nobody is surprised.

Fences: Unfortunately, no fence system is totally secure. We do not accept responsibility or liability for any pets that escape, are injured, or become lost when left out or given access to a fenced-in area. This includes electronic, wood, metal, or any other fence types.

Pet Proofing: It is your responsibility to pet proof any areas that your pets will have access to. We are not responsible for any damage that your pet does to your home.

Cleanup: We will do our best to clean all accidents that your pet may have, however, we are not responsible for carpet/flooring stains created by pet accidents.

Animal Behavior: Animals can be unpredictable. We do not accept responsibility or liability for animal behavior, normal or otherwise, which results in injury to your animals or property. Further, if we are harmed or injured by your animals, you accept full responsibility for the cost of any necessary medical attention required by us or your animals.*

Privacy:We will never sell or share any of your information with anyone. Ever.
